Pro-CEE Serious Game
A key part of Lisa’s outreach was the Pro-CEE serious game (PROstate Cancer Evaluation and Education), co-developed in 2017 to raise prostate cancer awareness among African-Caribbean men. Lisa led the creative development, providing storyline and voiceovers to ensure the content reflected lived experiences.
The project was developed with the Core Development Team at Nottingham Trent University, including Georgina Cosma, David Brown, Nicholas Shopland, Steven Battersby, Sarah Seymour-Smith, Matthew Archer, and A. Graham Pockley. Community partners included FAB (Friends and Bredrin) and BME Cancer Communities, founded by the late Dr. Rose Thompson, ensuring the game was culturally sensitive and effective. Evaluations showed it successfully encouraged early detection and positive health behaviours.
Legacy
Through Patty Dumplin, Lisa Jackson has combined humour, storytelling, and education to break down stigma, spark dialogue, and empower men and families to take proactive steps in their health.
